“Growing up me and the guys listened to a lot of music, and pretty much all of it had an impact on the way we play. However, there is one group that has definitely influenced us more than any other as a band. That group of course is The Ventures. The last show of The Nautics Kona Tour has special meaning for us as we will be playing it with one of our heroes Nokie Edwards (Lead Guitarist for The Ventures and Rock n’ Roll Hall of Famer). Also the venue (The Craterian Theater Medford OR) has great meaning for us as it was the home for the first gig we ever played all those years ago. I can still remember it. I was nine years old and we were all wearing matching Hawaiian shirts. We should have been nervous but were too ignorant to the mass amount of people on the other side of the curtain. It was a great night. We performed “Walk Don’t Run” by The Ventures that night long ago and we still play it today. Not because it is our favorite song but because it is the core of our band in so many ways. Some people look forward to getting married, some people look forward to championship games, but I look forward to October 29th.”
